All visitors are welcome to browse and use Reference & Circulating materials while in the Rockefeller Library.
Who can borrow materials?
The Rockefeller Library loans materials to these groups:
- Colonial Williamsburg Staff
- CW Staff may borrow an unlimited number of materials, and may renew items twice.
- Colonial Williamsburg Affiliates (Volunteers, Dependents, Retirees, Interns, and Visiting Researchers)
- CW Affiliates may borrow 10 items at one time, and may renew items once.
- William & Mary Faculty, Staff, and Students
- W&M Affiliates may borrow 10 items at one time, and may renew items once.
How long can I borrow things for?
Books: Books may be loaned for 28 days. They can be renewed via your online account, or by reaching out to library staff via phone or email.
Video and Music Recordings (CDs, DVDs, VHS): Video and Music recordings may be loaned for 7 days. They can be renewed via your online account, or by reaching out to library staff via phone or email.
Interlibrary Loan
CW Staff may request that materials not available through the Rockefeller Library be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan. To place an Interlibrary Loan, please reach out to rocklibrary@cwf.org with the title, author, and any additional relevant information.
Are there fines and fees?
The Rockefeller does not fine late or overdue materials. However, failure to return library materials in a timely fashion may result in suspension of borrowing privileges.
The Library does reserve the right to charge a replacement fee for lost or damaged materials.
